It was first time Georgia hosted world-renowned Khatia Buniatishvili together with Legendary Maestro Zubin Mehta and Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra composed of 130 musicians. 

Inauguration of the newly constructed beautiful amphitheatre of cultural significance was held on that very special day of the concert of Khatia together with Maestro Mehta and IPO performing Robert Schumann Piano Concerto, in A Minor, OP.54 

The performance was held in the historic village of Tsinandali, which is known as an estate and historic winery in Kakheti - famous wine making province in Georgia granted the national status of Culture Heritage.

Tsinandali will soon be home to a large-scale classical music festival. It is planned Tsinandali to become the centre of International Classical music from 2019, by establishing “Tsinandali Classical Music Festival” with renewed relevant infrastructure supported by “Silk Road Group” company.
